Decoding the RIBO License: What You Need to Know

The first step in becoming a RIBO licensed general insurance broker is to pass the RIBO 1 exam, also known as the Restricted Licence. This licence allows you to sell all types of general insurance but you must work under the supervision of a licensed RIBO 2 or higher. After two years of working as a restricted license you can take the RIBO unrestricted management exam to become a fully licensed Principal Broker and own your own brokerage.

The ILS L1 Program covers all the required course material to successfully prepare you for passing the RIBO 1 exam. This is a popular choice for students who can’t afford to pay $1000 for immersion classes or just want to study at their own pace and have access to online learning.
